Where does your time go during the week? This is a free PDF with 2 pages. The first page shows a table that can track your waking hours from Monday to Friday. The second page has a table for Saturday and Sunday. Each cell allows you to place the activities done (or to be done) within a span of 2 hours.

This can be used to track or plan your time. There are reflective questions at the bottom of Page 2 over how the time was spent.

Recommendations

Transition times like travel or switching activities can take up time and energy. These tables can be used to make a note of when we feel tired or overscheduled, so that break times can be inserted.

More to consider:

Are we making a note of the hours we need for sleep, self-care, and relaxation? Are we spending too much time on things we actually didn’t want to do? What would we like to do in the time we have left? Can we also make more time, and how?

Does this worksheet make us realise that we cannot do everything we want in a day? How do we decide what is important? Or does this worksheet realise we have more time than we need? How do we feel when we do not have enough going on (like during school holidays)? How do we feel when we have too much to do and not enough unstructured time?
